Papa can claim Haley's first I love you! We've been trying to get her to say that for a while and finally last weekend Nov 1st, she said it to Papa as we were leaving. That following week, every time we left for work/school - she would say BYE Addy, I lu you, "sometimes" she gets the V on love, but most of the time, it's more LU but she's getting there. (with all words). I'm really digging that she can talk more. It makes everything better. She doesn't get so frustrated, and in turn we don't either. This past weekend was fabulous - Mama was off all weekend, Daddy was home, and Taylor was there for most of the weekend AND the weather was gorgeous. Haley pulled out all of her tricks and was quite the entertainer. There aren't many places we can go where everyone is going to think Haley is as smart/cute/pretty/funny/great as I do, but BC is one of them. Matthew and Aunt Shell were there too, Chris came on Sunday. I can tell the biggest difference in the way that Haley & Matthew play. I think she is a little more adventurous and sure of herself, and Matthew is more gentle with her too. Yesterday, they were outside playing and Haley said something - Matthew could barely believe it - he said "SHE TALKS!!! LIKE ME!!"
We nearly fell out laughing so hard. He was truly taken by surprise with that. This morning Haley was in a great mood, and didn't cry when I dropped her off at school. So, needless to say - this is a pretty good Monday. Even better now that's it (almost) half over and I can go pick up my smart little girl and head home soon!!!
