Haley is walking, she started really getting into it about a week after her first birthday - and well, she hasn't stopped. She walks now more than she crawls - UNTIL....either Mommy or Daddy chase her down the hall, then if she really wants to move quick fast and in a hurry, she drops down on all 4's and crawls. She loves that little game, and so do I - she gets so tickled, and bursts into laughter, then we laugh like crazy too! Oh, these are good times, there is no doubt about that.
She has 6 teeth. She hasn't started talking yet, well, not that we can understand, she still has her vocabulary of Mama, DaDa (sometimes Daddy) and no, no, no - a couple of times, I "think" she said Abby. Nothing else yet, but I'm sure it's coming soon.
Her 1 yr WCC is scheduled for Aug 25 - it's a little late, she was 1 yr old on July 13th, but I dread those damn appointments. I dread the shots, I dread when they take blood. I so wish I could do that for her, so she wouldn't be scared or hurt even for a second.
Saturday Aug 16 was Taylor's 11th birthday - it also happened to be Haley's very first vacation. We went to the beach, got a room at AmeriSuites and hung out for a couple of days. Haley had her first encounter with the Atlantic Ocean - the first day she didn't care for it too much. The 2nd day she was digging it. She LOVES the swimming pool any day! Aunt Michelle, Taylor and Matthew, and Taylor's friend Haylee were with us. It was a good time. A little loud at times and occasionally a little bit stressful, but for the most part - a good time. When we came home on Saturday we unpacked some stuff, loaded up Abby and went to BC to see MeMa and PaPa - that was also a good time. I've known it for a long, long time now, but every visit with them reaffirms - there is absolutely nothing or nobody like your Mom and Dad - I love those people so much!!!!
