Whobody?
For quite some time Haley has been using "whobody" in place of the word who. Once in a while, she'll have way too many toys out in the living room. I'll try to sneak a few things and put them away - I rarely get caught in action doing this, but on several occasions Haley will notice something is gone and ask "Whobody moved my baby?" Or "whobody put my book up?" So, last night she's on the phone with MiMi, and MiMi asks Haley if she wants her to come over after school tomorrow (Thur) - YES! says Haley. MiMi asks Haley if she wants her to spend the night with her - YES! Haley says. MiMi asks Haley if she wants to stay home with her on Friday instead of going to school - YES! Haley says once more! We all finish our conversation and then several times later that night, and even once this morning Haley asks me...Whobody is coming to see me after school tomorrow? MiMi is, says Mama! and she asks....Whobody is spending the night with me? MiMi is! Finally, she asks Whobody is staying with me? MiMi is!!!! She didn't quite remember or "get" the staying with me on Friday instead of going to school thing but she knew exactly what she was talking about, and wanted me to answer appropriately, and she was also totally cracking me up. Whobody. Sounds like something from Dr. Seuss. She's really not been exposed to him too much, I think she's just getting anybody, or somebody mixed up with WHO. I should probably try to get her to say it correctly, but I won't, not yet, because I love it, it's just so dang cute - "whobody"
